Rebels Parents-
Here is some important information for the next few weeks. I am going to be trying to do more stuff with email this year so that notes don't get lost on the way home from practice. Please let me know if you have any questions:) First I just want to congratulate last year's youth team. The final rankings for the US Finals just came out, and our team finished 3rd in the nation! We cannot express how proud we are of the girls and hope to build on that success this year. Memorial Day Parade- We will meet in the Northland parking lot at 9:30 am. The parade starts at 10 so please be on time. We are #37 in the parade and will have a truck from Mike Swaney's. If your child would like to hand out candy, please send a bucket or basket full for her because we will not provide any. Handing out candy is optional. Your child needs to wear the light blue sponsor shirt and navy shorts from last year. If you don't have this, a plain light blue shirt and plain navy shorts are fine. I have a few extras from last year, so if you would like to purchase one for $5 please email me your size and I will bring it with me. Please make sure your child is wearing tennis shoes since it is a long walk. If the girls get tired, they can ride in the back of the truck. The parade goes from Northland to the square. I am will let you know when you drop you daughter off where you should pick her up. Statements- You will be receiving your May and June statements to this email address next week. If you want this to be sent to a different address please let me know. Coaching Changes- As some of you may have heard, Ericka will no longer be coaching Rebels. She is moving to Columbus to finish school in the fall and therefore cannot commit to the season. Michelle will be taking her place as youth and jrs coach. Ericka will be the tumbling coach throughout the summer. We know that this was a very hard decision and wish Ericka the best of luck!!! May 29th- June 1st I will be out of town and probably without cell phone service. We will be camping in Hocking Hills and I had issues with my phone there last year. If you have an urgent issue you will need to contact Michelle or Bre. Teams- We still have openings on all of our teams. Unfortunately, this economy is taking its toll on a lot of our families. I have a list of over 10 kids who would love to do Rebels but cannot afford it. These are girls who have been team members in the past and we would love to have back. We are looking for any suggestions to help make this possible. Also, if you know someone who might be interested in Rebels, please have them come and check it out. We have a very strong foundation for all of our teams and are confident about the upcoming year. We appreciate your help in finding a few more girls (or boys) to fill the open spots.
